Detroit Region Ford & Lincoln Dealers June 7 – 10 2011 Service Workshops

The Detroit Region FCSD team has been working with your service departments to make sure that every vehicle gets a complete inspection on every visit.  This is essential if we are to ensure all needed repairs are presented to every customer on every visit; while supporting your dealership’s repair shop parts and service sales.

Our team has been conducting “Card Everyone” dealership process improvement support for more than one year, and to-date our reviews have identified the following improvement opportunities:

  • The need for interactive Multi-Point Inspections (MPI) 100% of the time to capture more sales and build customer trust.
  • The need to increase Service Advisor sales closing rates.
  • The need for consistent selling processes within each dealership.
  • The need for EFFECTIVE Service Sales training and pay plans that incentivize part sales, customer satisfaction in addition to labor hours.

Dealer Service Academy – Service Sales Training

Your Detroit Region FCSD team is pleased to announce a Service Advisor retail sales training workshop in June 2011 called Dealer Service Academy. Training content will include:

  • Multi-point inspection based selling
  • Strategic focus on processes, with emphasis on a Walk-Around for every vehicle and with every customer
  • Live, interactive demonstration
  • Service Manager coaching strategies
  • Providing proven “word tracks” that Service Advisors can use to help them close the sale.

How are we going to execute the training?

We have contracted with Dealer Service Academy to deliver this training for dealership Service Management and Service Advisors. Dealer Service Academy is in the business of providing dealerships with Service Advisor training that focuses on delivering a consistent “walk-around” presentation which includes a complete vehicle inspection in less than two and a half minutes! We have arranged for multiple training sessions to better meet your needs. All sessions will include classroom instruction and actual walk-around presentations. This is hands-on, results-driven training that we know will bring value to your operation if you and your team are committed to improving your dealership’s processes.

We chose Dealer Service Academy to deliver this training because this is all they do – train dealers on how to successfully implement a service process that includes a dynamic walk-around presentation focused on 100% inspections. All Dealer Service Academy trainers have extensive experience in the retail car business and have held numerous positions at dealerships. Their instructors bring a wealth of knowledge and experience that will be recognized and appreciated by you and your team.

Training schedules

Each day will consist of 2 sessions.  One designed for the Dealer Principals, General Managers and Service Manager/Director; and the other session is specifically designed for Service Advisors.

  • Morning (AM) – 8:30 to Noon
  • Afternoon (PM) – 1:00 to 4:30 PM
